My journey began with a tour of the University of Paris hosted by the climate research graduate students. The video below is a student explaining the history of the university which dates back to the 13th century. I also included some photos of the science classroom where they host socratic discussions and lectures. I was not able to take a picture of the laboratory due to restrictions of the university policies.

The courtyard of the Sorbonne, with the stairs leading up to the chapel. he Sorbonne is one of the oldest universities in the world. Thomas Aquinas studied and taught there over 700 years ago! The chapel in this picture was rebuilt in the 17th century, and the rest of the building was rebuilt in the 19th century.
